Hey dolls! A couple of weeks ago, one of my loyal facebook fans asked me to swatch a England Dorian Gray since we have similar skin tones. It was my pleasure, since this was still in my untrieds. I purchased Dorian Gray immediately, first because of the name, second because of the gorgeous color (The Picture of Dorian Gray is one of my favorite books.) Dorian Gray is described as an intensely sinister pewter grey, forged with a forgiving deep golden shimmer. The formula was flawless, as with most other a Englands I’ve tried. Two coats were used in the pictures below.
Dorian Gray was a great purchase in my book. The gold shimmer makes it unique from every other gray polish I own. I then decided to use Glitzology As You Wish for an added sparkle. As You Wish is comprised of lavender, teal, and white glitters. My bottle looks different from the picture and description on her site, so maybe the color has been revamped. The formula was a little thick, but not problematic. I did not have to dab the glitter onto the nail, which is always a plus. One coat was used over Dorian Gray.
I really like the way the colors in As You Wish complimented Dorian Gray. The larger glitters are almost too big for my tastes, but they are just sparse enough for me to think it’s ok. I’m so glad that we are getting closer to the weekend! I plan not to do anything for the first time in about a month. Happy Thursday dolls!
