Hey dolls! The theme for this week’s Twinsie Tuesday was to show our favorite indie brand. It should be no surprise that I chose Cult Nails. I realized last week when I was writing my third anniversary post that the Cult was actually the first indie I tried. One of these days, I need to take a picture of my entire Cult Nails collection. I’m pretty sure I’ve owned them all except for around 5-10.

It just so happens that I recently received the Cult Nails Spring Radiance collection, so I decided to make this a mash up post. The collection consists of three shades and the pre-orders included samples of cuticle oil from SweetBaby by Donna. I received seven samples of oil and they all smelled delicious. My favorites were Pink Sugar and Blue Sugar, as I love things that smell fruity or like sweet treats. The oils absorbed quickly into the cuticles and did not leave a greasy residue behind. The fragrance does linger for a few minutes, which was perfect for me. You can find out more information about SweetBaby by Donna here or on instagram where we first met. Donna is a super sweet doll!

Cult Nails Alluring is described as a mauve, leaning neutral, with the most subtle green shimmer. I absolutely love the shimmer in this one. The formula was thinner than typical for this brand, but not runny at all. Two coats were used for opacity.

Cult Nails Radiance is described as a one coat, purple-berry, creme that dries to to a high shine. This polish is extremely pigmented and the formula was great. If you apply on the heavier side, Radiance could definitely be a one coater. I used two coats in the photos below.

Cult Nails Thrive is described as a slightly textured mint pastel green, with our now famous Cult Nails shimmer. This shade has a jelly finish that was on the thick side. It applied easily on the first coat, but there was a little dragging on the coats thereafter. Thrive didn’t self-level as well as the other shades in the collection, so I would recommend waiting in between coats. Two coats were used for opacity. It dried to a satin, slightly gritty finish, so top coat was applied.

Overall, I like this collection. I do wish Thrive was a creme base with shimmer as opposed to a jelly though, to minimize the application issues. The Cult Nails Spring Radiance collection is currently available here as a set or individually.
