Hey dolls! The theme for this week’s Twinsie Tuesday was to do an accent nail. Sounds simple enough right? I didn’t have a chance to do my look until late last night and it seemed as if everything I tried was a fail. Accent nails are my thing, but I had no motivation last night. My plan was to use some of the new Cut It Out Nail Vinyls from Serum No.5. I had a “queen bee” design in mind, but the execution was all off because I kept rushing and my base wasn’t dry enough. I’ll have to give that look another go when I have more time.
I ended up starting with a base of Serum No.5 Jaded, a pale green subtle holographic shade. It has just the slightest tinge of green in an almost silver base. The formula was great! It was thick in a good way, was very pigmented, and applied easily in two coats.
Jaded has almost a vintage or antique look to me. For the accent nail theme, I ended taking the safe route by using studs. These black iridescent rhinestones from Serum No.5 applied easily with just a dab of base coat. I then covered each nail again with top coat. The studs are still in place this morning as I type this post.
The flashes of color in the stones compliments Jaded perfectly! This look is simple, yet striking, which is exactly how I like my nail art. Be sure to check out the accent nails from all of the other Twinsies down below!
