Hey dolls! A lot of you loved the first collection from Classic Film Lacquers that I showed last month. Here’s some news on some upcoming shades and a sale!
A lot of news to share from the Lacquer Lab at Classic Films Cosmetics!
We’ve recently released a new trio of polishes for Fall entitled The Sweater Collection. Two of the 3 – Laura and Anna Lucasta – are based on vintage cashmere sweaters I love, which are creamy taupe and black, respectively. The other is named “In Vino Veritas,” giving away its inspiration, entirely. 🙂 They’re available now in our etsy store [http://ClassicFilms.Etsy.com ] and retail for $10. They will be perfect for Fall manis, as the air takes on a chill and white wine is displaced by red. 🙂
September 19 has always been a day of celebration in our family, as it is my Father’s birthday. Well, lo and behold, who knew the rest of the world was out there celebrating International Talk Like a Pirate Day?!?!? And if that isn’t enough, my latest project has been a pair of novelty polishes featuring skull-shaped glitter! So, WE’RE HAVING OUR FIRST SALE! Kicking off on September 19, along with the release of our latest addition “Queen of the Pirates,” use code SKULLSALE2013 for 20% off your entire purchase from our etsy store (excluding shipping and handling).
Queen of the Pirates features a black base with gold shimmer complemented with red glitter and white skull and crossbones shapes. Inspired by The Jolly Roger, it retails for $8.00 (or just $6.40 on sale)! The Screaming Skull will be released in mid-October. Although still in the final stages of development, it is inspired by the sugar skulls used in Mexico to celebrate The Day of the Dead. A tradition on this holiday is to build private altars incorporating sugar skulls (NOW, when once it was actual bones – yikes!), marigolds, and favorite foods and beverages to honor loved ones who are deceased. The sugar skulls are whimsical and brightly colored with icing as well as feathers and foils that can make them highly ornate. And I love a good color bomb as much as I love a good glitter bomb, so keep a look out for the new release!
The sale will run from Dad’s birthday/International Talk Like a Pirate Day (September 19) through The Day of the Dead November 2. DON’T. MISS. OUT.
