Hey dolls! My friend Tiffany over at Tiffany’s Tasteful Talons had the awesome idea of people joining together to celebrate the amazing Michael Jackson. Everyone was supposed to create a mani that included a silver accent nail to represent the iconic glove that MJ wore during many performances and tag it #manisformj on social media. As his birthday would have been today, I think it’s the perfect time to celebrate the legend that was Michael Jackson. His music was the soundtrack of my 28 years of life, just as I know it was for many others. I have MJ playlists that I still listen to regularly and at any given point you can see my family and I dancing to the Michael Jackson experience game! I still remember my cousin having a Thriller themed birthday party in 1986 and us dancing the day away. I’ll let you in on another secret, I didn’t watch the Thriller video until I was in undergrad. Yes, I was scared to death of that video growing up and I avoided it at all costs.
I was inspired by one of the most recognized photos of MJ wearing a black shimmery suit, with a white shimmery band on the upper arm seen above. The colors used were Zoya Storm, Orly Au Champagne, and OPI Servin’ Up Sparkle.
If I had to pick three of my favorite MJ songs, I would go with Man in the Mirror, PYT, and Rock With You. Michael made us laugh, cry, and dance for the last few decades and you can rest assured that his music will continue to live on. His sound was timeless and I am glad that the world was blessed with his talent! Thanks again Tiff for coming up with this awesome idea.
