KBShimmer Spring 2013 Polishes

KBShimmer Sp 13

Hey dolls! Today I have pictures of several polishes from KBShimmer‘s spring collection. I was so excited that the three polishes I was sent for review were ones I was planning to purchase. Three coats were used for each polish and the formula was not problematic at all. The new polishes come with a wider brush that I found was very easy to use. KBShimmer’s new top coat, Clearly on Top, was used for each polish as well. A full review of the top coat will be at the end of this post.

Get Clover It is described as an emerald green jelly with micro shimmer and circle glitter in shades of green, gold and turquoise. As emerald is the Pantone color of the year, this polish is right on trend. This is my first circle glitter polish and I must admit that I’m in love!

Lottie Dottie is described as turquoise and fuchsia dots and coordinating glitters micro slices in a soft white base. I wasn’t sure at first how I was going to feel about Lottie Dottie with the mini bars, but surprisingly, I don’t mind them. Of course, I think the polish would be perfection without the slices, but they couldn’t be any bigger than what they are. I really like the mix of glitters in Lottie Dottie. This one will be a hit with white based glitter lovers.

Where My Peeps At is described as a soft yellow crelly with circle and tiny hex glitter in fun jelly bean like shade. I love absolutely everything about this polish including the super cute name! I don’t like to eat peeps, but I will most gladly wear them on my nails. Yellow is my favorite color, so Where My Peeps At is all win for me.

It’s official, I am a fan of circle glitter! All of these polishes are super fun and perfect for the spring time. Now I’m excited to get the rest of the pastels from this collection. As mentioned above, a bottle of the new KBShimmer top coat, Clearly on Top, was also included. I am very impressed with the top coat. It is about the same consistency as Nubar Diamont, which means it’s not as thick as Seche Vite, but thicker than Cult Nails Wicked Fast or Out the Door top coat. Clearly on Top dried very quickly to a high gloss. After about 2-3 minutes of use, my nails were completely dry to the touch. I’ve tried this top coat with several brands of polish over the last week and did not experience any shrinkage. The smell is a little strong, but not overpowering. Clearly on Top costs $5 for a 15mL bottle and $3 for a 7mL bottle. The price is amazing and the results were great, so I definitely plan on ordering a few bottles.

The spring collection will be available on February 15. KBShimmer products can be found at http://www.KBShimmer.com for $8.75.  For sales outside of the US, visit http://www.HarlowandCo.org.
