Guest Post ~ Lizzy from The DIY Lady

Lizzy from The DIY Lady has such a wonderful spirit and awesome nails, so I was super excited when she agreed to guest posting! This look today really makes me feel like I need to step up my animal print game.
Hello Lovely People over here at Refined and Polished. I am Lizzy, also known as TheDIYLady. I am so honored to be here guest posting for the wonderful Lakeisha. I said a quick and happy YES when she asked if I could guest post for her. 🙂
For my post today, I chose to do something simple but very colorful since it’s summertime! Here’s what I came up with..
For this mani, I started with a multicolored base on white polish. Then I stamped on it with a leopard print plate from MASH in m40.
All of the colors used are Kleancolor Polishes and I’ll list them at the end of this post. I love the way my nails looked with the colors under the leopard print. I had been wanting to do a colored base with animal print design for a while now, and I’m glad I got to do this as my guest post here.
To show you what the base looks like… look at this next picture. The colorful base doesn’t have to be perfect because the stamp sort of covers up the imperfections. I pretty much just dabbed each polish color on the white base, and smeared them with the polish brushes. Then I applied Seche Vite topcoat to even things out and make the mani dry before I stamped on it.
I’ve been IN LOVE with this holo glitter topcoat from Luxe Coat polish and so I added one coat on each nail. Here it is below… the holo topcoat doesn’t overpower the mani, and I can still see my nail art and base colors.
Here are the all the polishes I used. From left to right, Top to bottom: Kleancolor, White, Black, Neon Orange, Neon Green, Beach Blue
And that’s it for now. I hope you all have a bright and happy day. I am very grateful to Lakeisha for having me on her blog once again.
Till Later, God Bless.
