Fashion Refined ~ Republic and Company Cuz I’m a Lady

Hey dolls! Today’s Fashion Refined post is all about a shirt I had to have once I saw it on instagram. Some of you may be familiar with the popular 90s comedy Martin. Martin Lawrence had several hilarious catch phrases that the folks at Republic and Company have put their personal twist on and added to t-shirts. I ordered the “Cuz I’m a Lady” top and I love it! It’s definitely one of those conversation starter tops. I paired the top with boyfriend jeans from the Eva Mendes collection at New York and Company and a boyfriend jacket. This combo made for a casual, but chic look.

I love this tee! The triple chevron necklace from NYCO went perfectly with the triangles on the top. The heels provided just a little pop of color without being too flashy. I’m most excited about these boyfriend jeans. They are super comfortable! Ladies, you all know how difficult it can be to find great fitting jeans, so these were definitely a win. I can’t forget to talk about this Phillip Lim for Target crossbody. I adore this bag! The taupe-ish gray shade works perfectly with some many colors. I’ve been carrying it for the last few days and it holds much more than you would think. I’m so grateful to a special person for tracking this bag down for me after it was long sold out. (Lesson: Never hesitate on Target designer collaboration purchases because they don’t last long at all.) Doing these photo shoots are always hilarious. You can see how it was light outside and gradually got darker. You’ll also see my hair expand and become less defined. The joys of lingering humidity.

I can watch episodes of Martin nonstop and crack up laughing just like it’s my first time seeing it. Have you ever seen Martin? If so, you know the voice “Cuz I’m a Lady” should be said in!
