Hey dolls! Today I have four of the eight shades in the Delush Polish Essence of Summer collection for you. This collection features several summer appropriate shades filled with shimmer. I’ve been watching this brand for some time, so I was excited when I was asked to review a few of the newest polishes.
Delush Polish Indulgence is described as a shimmering deep, yet bright, watermelon inspired shade. The pink lover in me was happy about this shade of course. The formula was great; it was very pigmented and applied easily. Opacity was achieved in two coats.
Delush Polish Shake Your Teal Feather is described as a teal base featuring a beautiful purple shimmer that’s reminiscent of the wing dust sparkle found on Blue Morpho Butterflies. I would actually consider this shade to be more of a turquoise because of the blue undertones. Regardless of the semantics, I love it. The shimmer, while hard to capture in the photos, was gorgeous. I’m still wearing this shade as I type this post. The formula was sheer on the first coat, but built up nicely in three. I did experience a little bit of dragging, but I’m not sure if the formula didn’t agree with my base coat (I didn’t have this issue with the other three that were swatched without base coat).
Delush Polish Swans Upon a Time is described as a white polish that merges a timeless chic white base with a romantic red shimmer that sparkles in the sun. The formula was good for a white polish. It applied easily and wasn’t runny or streaky. Swans Upon a Time was still a little patchy at two coats, so three were used for the photos below. The addition of the shimmer definitely makes this a unique shade.
Delush Polish You Glow Girl is described as a bright sunny yellow with some serious summer shimmer. You all know that yellow is one of my favorite colors and I like how soft this one is. It makes me think of a banana laffy taffy actually. The added shimmer is definitely a bonus. The formula was sheer on the first coat, but not runny. You Glow Girl built up to opacity in three coats.
Overall, I’m extremely impressed with my first Delush Polish experience. Shimmers are one of my favorite finishes, so I was pleased to see that a few of these are very unique to my stash. Here’s a photo of the entire collection.
