Good evening dolls! I’m so excited about this post. I was recently contacted by Bella Lacquer, a Black-owned polish line based out of Los Angeles. These vegan polishes are seven-free of toxic ingredients and have ridiculously amazing wear time! After perusing the site, I was eager to try out this brand and was sent seven shades for review.
Bella Lacquer Birkin Bleu is a bright, cobalt blue creme. I’m currently rocking Birkin Bleu and it’s been full week with no chips at all. It’s formula was on the thicker side, which I always appreciate. Two coats were used in the photo below.
Bella Lacquer Boo Boo Kitty is a super girly, bubblegum pink creme. If you like pink polish, you’ll appreciate this shade. Boo Boo Kitty’s formula was more of a jelly consistency and it applied evenly without dragging. Opacity was achieved in three coats. I can’t help but to think of Anika on Empire and Maya’s Halloween costume every time I type Boo Boo Kitty!
Bella Lacquer Cuffing Season is a deep, oxblood creme. The owner mentioned that she felt this would be one of my favorites and I have to agree! Cuffing Season is such a sexy shade. It’s dark, but noticeably not black. The formula was pretty easy to use and leveled out in three coats. You could probably get away with two though if you have a bit of a heavy hand when polishing.
Bella Lacquer High Maintenance is a delicate peach creme. This shade was a surprise favorite. It’s formula was relatively thin, but not runny. High Maintenance applied evenly in three coats.
Bella Lacquer Na-CHO Bae is a bright orange creme. You all know my love of orange polish, so this one was automatically a winner. Na-CHO Bae’s formula was great and applied effortlessly in two coats.
Bella Lacquer Oh Kale NO! is a kelly green creme that sometimes leans a little teal depending on the lighting. I love saying the name of this polish. Oh Kale NO!’s formula was thinner than all of the other shades, but not runny. I swatched this shade without using any base coat and did have slight staining, so be sure to double up when wearing Oh Kale NO! as a full mani. Two coats were used for the photo below.
Bella Lacquer Truffle Butter is the most perfect nude creme. I have a feeling this shade would look good on a variety of skin tones. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve already seen me profess my love of Truffle Butter after a week of wear with no chips. It’s officially my new favorite nude. Truffle Butter’s formula was perfection in two coats and is shown below.
Overall, I’m really pleased with the quality of Bella Lacquer nail polishes. While the colors may not be super unique if you have a large collection, the wear time makes them stand out above many other brands. It actually took me much longer to write this review simply because I wore four of the seven shades for a full week each. I honestly can’t remember the last time I wore that many shades from one brand consecutively. Consider me impressed! The artwork on the packaging is also super chic and striking. Bella Lacquer shades are available here for $12 each. Be sure to keep up with them on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for updates.
