Hey dolls! I recently asked on facebook if I should do a formal review of the Bondi subscription box, and several people said yes. I’ve reviewed and purchased several polishes from Bondi and have been pleased each time. When I heard that they were starting a subscription box, I was immediately interested. The box debuted in August and it was a surprise of three polishes from their current stock and several beauty gifts. The subscription prices range from 1 month to 1 year at $19.99 to 199.90, respectively and include shipping. For future boxes, you will be able to choose the three polishes you want, which is perfect in my opinion. You can always skip a month if you’d like. Now, let’s get to the boxes I received in August.
The August box contained the following items: Strawberry Fields, Starry Night, The Limelight, 100% Pure eye shadow and eyeliner, and a Gin Blossom perfume. I don’t wear makeup often at all, so I’ll probably use those as extras in giveaway or swap packages. I didn’t open them, so I can’t comment on the quality.
Strawberry Fields, is a gorgeous coral creme which I previously reviewed here.
Starry Night is a deep blue that is filled with shimmer. The formula was well-pigmented and easy to apply. 2 coats were used in the pictures below.
The Limelight is a bright lime green creme that doesn’t lean too far yellow. The formula was a little streaky on the first two coats, but evened out nicely on the third. I really like this shade!
Bondi also offered an additional add on box for $15. Who am I to turn down that deal since they were going to ensure that it would be three different shades? This box included Brick Road, Fuchsia-tastic, City Slicker, an eyeliner, lip gloss, and the same perfume sample. I love lippies, so I’m holding on to this one. The label reads that it is completely organic, which is pretty cool.
Brick Road is the only polish that I already owned. It was previously reviewed here and I’ve passed on the extra bottle to one of my friends.
Fuchsia-tastic is a bright fuchsia creme. The formula was flawless and super pigmented! It was almost a one coater, but I needed to even out a few spots just for picture purposes. In real life, one thick coat would be perfect.
City Slicker, a light metallic gray, was the sheerest of this set of polishes. You have to apply very thin coats to minimize visible brushstrokes with this polish. Three coats were used below.
Bondi polishes are regularly $12.50, so the subscription price is a steal in my opinion! For the September box, we were able to choose three shades from the 15 that are soon to be released from the fall/winter collection. In the months ahead, new colors will be developed specifically for the subscriptions. I’ve been impressed with Bondi’s customer service as they are very transparent. They are constantly interacting with their customers on their facebook page and they asked questions about what we would like to see in this service. I’m looking forward to the September box and I can’t wait to see how this service grows over the next few months. Let me know your thoughts and if you have subscribed!
