Zoya-Matte-Velvet

Hey dolls! I hope that you all have had an enjoyable weekend. The week of Zoya features is coming to an end with the collection I was most excited about, the Matte Velvets. This collection was first released and loved by many in 2009. The formula was the same on each polish. They were all extremely pigmented and applied effortlessly in two coats. As with any matte polish, I recommend using a light touch to minimize the appearance of brushstrokes. The Matte Velvets were completely dry to the touch in about 15-20 minutes.

Zoya Dovima is described as a smoky charcoal black with strong silver shimmer. I also see a little blue sparkle in this one. Dovima is a great shade to wear when you don’t want a pure black polish.

Zoya Harlow is described as a rich, saturated rose plum packed with sparkling metallic shimmer. I was so excited when I heard about the re-release specifically for Harlow. This shade has been on my wish list for years! Thankfully after putting it on, Harlow was everything I imagined it to be.

Zoya Loredana is described as a medium gunmetal grey packed with silvery shimmer. This is another gorgeous one!

Zoya Posh is described as a medium cool-toned wine red with metallic red shimmer. This is the only shade from the Matte Collection that I already own (review here). You all know how I feel about red, so I’m not even sure what possessed me to buy it.

Zoya Savita is described as a bold, vibrant medium purple with strong red and gold shimmer. This is my other favorite shade from the collection. I was almost a little upset that I didn’t get a chance to wear it as a full mani. Oddly enough, Savita had a strange scent, almost like a dry erase marker. This won’t stop me from wearing it again though.

Zoya Veruschka is described as a deep evergreen garnished with strong metallic shimmer. Veruschka and Posh would pair really well for a festive holiday look.

If you are a fan of matte finishes, you will love the Zoya Matte Velvet collection. The heavy shimmer and velvety finish really make these polishes stand out from a lot of others. This collection is available here for $9 each. Be sure to keep up with Zoya on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

I hope that you all have enjoyed Zoya week here on R&P. It really is one of my favorite brands and it’s a privilege to be able to review all of the new releases.
