Zoya Lovely Collection

Zoya Lovely

Hey dolls! This evening I have pictures of the Zoya Lovely collection for you. I didn’t expect for this collection to show up on my doorstep so quickly, but I was happy to see it. The Lovely collection consists of three cremes and three metallics. This set screams summer with the assortment of pastel shades. It makes me think about Easter eggs and jelly beans. The formula on the metallics was great and typical of Zoya, while the cremes were much thinner and a little runny. I had to polish very carefully to avoid cuticle pooling. Top coat was used only on the cremes to even them out.

Julie is described as a soft wisteria purple metallic. This is one of the shades I was most excited about and I’m glad to say it didn’t disappoint. Julie is a very unique purple with just the slight tinge of blue undertones. Three thin coats were used.

GeiGei is described as a blushing cherry blossom pink metallic. Another pretty one. The shimmer is gorgeous and I can’t help but love this pink. Three thin coats were used.

GeiGei GeiGei

Piaf is described as a fresh forsythia yellow metallic. Love, love, love! Yellow is my favorite color and I have yet to see such a soft yellow shimmer quite like this one. Three thin coats were used.

Piaf Piaf

Jacqueline is described as a perfect magnolia nude cream. I’m not crazy about this shade on my complexion, but I think it could be a good base for glitter or nail art. Three coats were used.

Neely is described as an earliest spring green cream. This shade read a lot lighter on me than I thought it would, but I still like it. Two coats were used.

Neely Neely 2

Blu is described as a lucky hyacinth blue cream. I just knew I had something like this in my collection, but I don’t. This is one pretty soft blue! Two coats were used.

Blu Blu 2

Overall, I think this is a nice collection. The colors are the epitome of spring. I only wish the formula on the cremes was a little thicker. My favorites from this set are the metallics; Julie, Piaf, and GeiGei. Zoya polishes can be purchased here for $8 each and the Lovely collection will start shipping out by January 1, 2013.

Great photo swatches! Wow! I wish I could wear all these shades. I am too pale and shades like the creams at least turn my hands into lobster hands…the chalky white in them does me in. I do like the shimmery ones, but pretty sure I only could pull off the lavender and that’s a maybe. I doublt I will get any of this collection. I think I could make a close dupe of the lavender with an Essie I have and add some Essie Pearl Luxeffects by Essie to it or one of my CND Effects would probably pull it close to this, esp if I mixed a little of them together on a piece of foil and painted my nails from there. But all my issues aside – this is pretty on you and certainly a palette cleaner from all the holiday and deeper fall tones. I will probably wear some nudes after holiday and then merge to my fall shades I never got to wear any of it was so blasting hot where I lived oddly into first of Dec this yr. Global warming anyone? I think so!

That’s a great idea to layer a lavender with the Luxeffects! It’s so great to get inspiration from new collections in order to re-work what you already have.

Very pretty colors. I will be checking these out for Spring. I can’t believe I’m looking at Easter colors on Christmas Eve. I decided to just do a basic manicure with China Glaze Ruby Pumps for Christmas this year. I still have cooking , baking , shopping, and wrapping to do.

You may have said this before but what base coat, top coat and treatments do you use? My nails are getting healthy again but a couple of them still split on the side.

I’m glad you were able to wear Ruby Pumps. I keep that candy cane look on for 4 or 5 days. I use Sally Hansen Double Duty for my base and Cult Nails Wicked Fast or Nubar Diamont for the top coat. I used to have so much peeling, but Barielle Nail Strengthener Cream stopped that from happening. My nails are much stronger. I use it a couple of time a week when I change polish.
