Hey dolls! The theme for this week’s Twinsie Tuesday was “I keep meaning to…”. As bloggers, we have a lot on our plate and things get pushed to the side for long lengths of time. At first I was going to swatch an untried that I’d been meaning to wear, but that was way too difficult to narrow down.
For this look, I decided to go with two nail art looks that I keep meaning to try. I’m always pinning manis, but it takes forever to actually try them. I started with a base of Zoya Kimber, a bright red toned pink with gold shimmer. My intentions were to use Kimber as a breast cancer awareness mani, but it pulled way too red.
To pull out the golden shimmer in Kimber, I grabbed Zoya Ziv. The Nailasaurus is one of my go-to blogs for nail art. Her looks are always relatively simple, yet chic and striking. I decided to attempt the geometric striping and triangle nail art looks as accents using striping tape. Here’s the final product:
While I like the way each accent nail turned out, the color combination is a little too Christmas-y for me. If only Kimber was a little more pink and a lot less red. Regardless, I’m glad I was finally able to try a few of these looks. Be sure to check out the manis my fellow Twinsies have been meaning to do down below.
