Hey dolls! The Twinsie Tuesday theme for this week was International Choice. There are a few non-USA ladies in the group and this week they have a chance to represent their respective countries as we did last week with Fourth of July inspired looks. I was in the group with Róisín of Cuti-CLUE-les who is from Ireland. Our task was to come up with a look inspired by the Irish. I decided to go with a look that relates to the colors that come to mind when you think of Ireland, green and gold.
I recently broke my no buy when KBShimmer had a $5 sale on a collection of Misfit polishes that were never previously released. As she doesn’t typically have sales, I had to place an order. One of the polishes I purchased was Dew It Right, a neon yellowish-green that is filled with various sizes of green, gold, and blue hex glitter. The formula was typical of KBShimmer crelly bases; easy to use and built up nicely. I used three coats for opacity.
On the accent nail, I started with three coats of Orly Here Comes Trouble, a fine emerald green glitter. I then taped off the tip using a chevron guide from BornPretty store that I recently received for review. The tape was easy to use, but I wish it was a little bit longer as I have wide nail beds. I used Zoya Ziv for the gold tip.
I really love Dew It Right! I should’ve stuck with just a simple accent of Here Comes Trouble. The gold tip sort of throws off the look in my opinion and is a little busy for my tastes. I was way too tired to change it again last night though. I’m looking forward to using the french tip guides from BornPretty again.
