Hey dolls! The theme for this week’s Twinsie Tuesday was to create nails inspired by your hometown. I had no clue at all where to start with this mani. As I was thinking of my hometown in SC, I remembered my elementary school mascot, the Yellow Jackets. I went to check my stash for a yellow untried, and I came across Mentality Cara. This is a bright yellow jelly that is filled with shimmer. The formula was good and built up nicely in three coats.

Our school colors were of course, yellow, black, and white. I thought this would be a great opportunity to finally wear Maybelline Clearly Spotted. The formula was great and the glitter is the perfect density. I love that Clearly Spotted doesn’t include any bar glitter. One coat was used over Cara.

I absolutely love these two together! Black, white, and yellow is such are great, classic color combo. As Cara is a jelly, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to add another coat to make this a jelly sandwich.

Eh, I much prefer this look without the jelly layer on top. While I like the uniqueness of a jelly with shimmer, Cara gives off an almost frosty look which I am not a fan of. Which do you prefer? Be sure to check out how the other Twinsies were inspired by their hometowns below.
