Twinsie Tuesday ~ Inspired by a Book ~ Zoya Spencer

Hey dolls! The theme for this week’s Twinsie Tuesdsay was to be inspired by a book. I decided to take the easy way out by drawing inspiration from the book I’m currently reading, Instinct: The Power to Unleash Your Inborn Drive by T.D. Jakes. One of my closest sorority sisters and I are reading this motivational and inspirational book together and it’s amazing. Here’s the book description from Amazon:

Combining historical, cultural, and personal examples with biblical insights, in INSTINCT Bishop Jakes outlines how to re-discover your natural aptitudes and re-claim the wisdom of your past experiences. When attuned to divinely inspired instincts, you will become in sync with the opportunities life presents and discover a fresh abundance of resources. Knowing when to close a deal, when to take a risk, and when to listen to your heart will become possible when you’re in touch with the instincts that God gave you.

Looking at the neutral and monochromatic colors used on the cover on Instinct, I immediately knew that I wanted to use a few shades from the Zoya Naturel Deux collection (full review coming soon). I started with a base of Zoya Spencer, the lightest nude from the collection. On the accent nail, I freehanded stripes using Zoya Chanelle and Zoya Emillia. After they dried, I added chevrons using nail vinyls and Zoya Gaia to bring in the white. To tie the look all together, I used textured gold square studs from BornPretty.

I love the simplicity of this look! I adore nudes and browns, so this collection from Zoya is full of win in my book. The gold studs help to give the manicure a polished look. If you are feeling limited in any area of your life and debating making life-changing decisions, I highly recommend this book to help you tap into your instincts.

Be sure to check out the looks from the other Twinsies below to see how they were inspired by books.
