Hey dolls! The theme for this week’s Twinsie Tuesday was to share our favorite glitter topper. Gosh, I had a really hard time trying to make a decision. I pulled out several glitters and ended up going with the one I’ve used most often, Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters. This polish was super popular when it was released a few years ago. I like it for its versatility. It can be layered over another polish, used for a gradient, or as I did for today, used in a jelly sandwich. The color mix of Party of Five Glitters is very similar to those first released by many indie brands in various jelly bases.
As I was rushing to complete this look before watching the NCAA Championship game last, I took a shortcut for the jelly sandwich. Typically I would build the jelly up by itself, but I didn’t have time for that last night. I started with a base of Cult Nails Love At First Sight, a medium purple creme. Next, I dabbed on Party of Five Glitters. The base was much thicker than I remember it being previously, so a few drops of thinner would be helpful. To complete the jelly sandwich, I added one coat of Loreal Lilac Coolers, a lilac jelly. The formula on Lilac Coolers was super sheer, hence the shortcut mentioned above.
The density of this glitter is perfect for jelly sandwiches. I also like that it doesn’t look too chunky. I’m sure if I were to answer this same prompt in a few weeks, I would choose a different glitter. There are a few others that I like for many different reasons. Could you decide on a favorite glitter topper? Be sure to check out the choices from the other Twinsies down below!
