Hey dolls! Today I have photos for you of my first polishes from Serum No. 5. I’ve admired this brand from afar for awhile now, so I’m glad I’ve been given the opportunity to review several polishes.
Mauvelous is described as a pinky mauve holo. The name of this polish is just too cute! The formula was great and applied easily in two coats. Mauvelous almost looks like a nude holo on my complexion, which is pretty cool.
Acai of Relief is a duochrome that shifts from blue to purple. I love shades like this, especially when it’s easy to see the color shift. The formula was on the thin side, but was still easy to manage. Three coats were used for opacity. This name is super cute too!
Samba-dy to Love is a topper filled with bright red, copper, and blue glitter. The formula was easy to use and the glitter was relatively dense in one coat. I did dab on a little more glitter in a few areas just to make sure it was dispersed all over the nail. Samba-dy to Love is shown below over Acai of Relief.
How cute are the names of these polishes?!? I’m really pleased with the first few polishes I’ve tried from this brand and now I’m looking forward to the others. Serum No. 5 polishes are available here for $7-12 (minis and full-sized). Be sure to keep up with them on Facebook and Instagram!
The owner of Serum No. 5 is also a part of a project called Love, Preview, which is a beauty and fashion charity shopping event that supports and highlights beauty makers and fashion retailers. This year profits will go to No Kid Hungry to help end childhood hunger in America. So in an attempt to raise even more money for the event and to make a large donation, she has set up a crowdfunding campaign for the event, which can be found here. Please check it out to learn more about this project!
