The beauty blogging world was extremely saddened on July 16 when we heard that Talia Joy, an aspiring makeup artist and youtube beauty guru in her own right, had passed away at just the tender age of 13 after battling two forms of cancer. I was first introduced to Talia on Instagram and I could see her warm and beautiful personality shine through even though she was in so much pain. As Talia inspired so many people, Nicole of Nail Polish Wars asked bloggers all over to wear mint polish today as a tribute to how many lives she touched in such a short period of time.

I had no intentions of changing of nails this weekend, but I could not let this opportunity to honor her memory pass by. I am currently wearing Sinful Colors Mint Apple, a gorgeous mint that is filled with silver shimmer. The formula was easy to use and opaque in two coats.

I then added accents of White Owl Lacquers Water Lilies, a pretty mint crelly base filled with turquoise, magenta, and silver glitter. I’m sure this polish would build up nicely on its own.

I pray that Talia’s family is strengthened by how much their little one was loved all over the world. Talia inspired everyone to push through whatever was happening in their life and to “just keep swimming”. We could all stand to keep those words at the forefront of our lives.
