I’d like to start this post off by saying thank you to all of the service men and women who have protected our great country. Several of my family members have been and are in the military and I sincerely appreciate the sacrifices they have made.
There was a tie for this week’s Reader’s Choice nail art look between saran wrap and a jelly sandwich. Since I’ve done jelly sandwiches multiple times, I decided to attempt a full saran wrap mani. I began with Essie Aruba Blue, a gorgeous sapphire with a slightly frosty finish. Aruba Blue has been in my untrieds for the longest! The formula was fine and I used two coats for the photos below.
This is such a pretty blue and I’m not sure if I have anything quite like it. I love the way blue and gold look together, so I pulled out Zoya Ziv to create the saran wrap marbled look. I cut several pieces of saran wrap ahead of time. After Aruba Blue was dry, I applied a layer of Ziv and then dabbed each nail with the saran wrap while still wet.
I adore how this turned out! Who knew saran wrap manis were so easy?!? My husband called it graffiti when he took a look at my nails. It definitely reminds me of the spray paint option in Paint. I’m now excited to try this with other colors.
For this week’s reader’s choice, I have three glitter top coats for you to chose from. Please take a second to vote in the poll below.
