Hey dolls! I hope that all of you in the US have had an amazing Memorial Day weekend. Many thanks to all of the service men and women who have protected our country, past and present. I’ve been in DC all weekend and it really is a great place to celebrate the holiday while visiting all of the memorial sites.
This evening I have photos for you of the Pretty & Polished June 2014 Beauty Box. This box features two exclusive full sized polishes, two minis, a dotting tool, a fimo stick, and a bath bomb sample.
Pretty & Polished Ocean View is a metallic turquoise and green glitter. The formula was great and it applied easily in two coats. The glitter spread nicely and did not drag at all.
Pretty & Polished Solar Power Purple is a white base filled with purple and red glitter. The formula was sheer on the first coat, but built up nicely in three coats. The glitter dispersed nicely, but did dry to a slightly gritty finish, so top coat was used.
As you can tell from the name, Solar Power Purple is a color-changing polish that shifts in the sun. I stood outside in direct sunlight for about 10 minutes and the base shifted to a lavender shade.
Pretty & Polished Golden Child Top Coat is a clear base filled with small gold glass flecks. I just love this one and I think it would look great over a variety of bases. The formula was great and applied easily in one coat over Zoya Edie.
Pretty & Polished Pixy Chix is a clear base that is red, green, blue, and purple microglitter. The base was a little thick, so you have to apply this polish carefully. The owner has informed me that the base has been fixed in all of the orders that have gone out for the month, so you all shouldn’t have any issues. One coat was used over Zoya Alexa.
