Hey dolls! Last week I mentioned that I picked up a few new Illamasqua polishes during the Sephora VIB sale for 15% off and I have pictures of those for you today. Venous is a gorgeous teal creme with an awesome formula. It flowed nicely onto the nail and was extremely pigmented. I could’ve stopped at one coat, but I did two for picture purposes.
I just can’t seem to get tired of colors in this family. Venous does not stain either, which is a huge plus. I feel like every teal, turquoise, and blue polish I’ve been wearing lately has left staining.
The other polish I purchased was Harem. This polish is a hard one to describe; in some lights it looks pink, and purple in others. The formula was a little thinner than Venous, so I would advise using a steady hand to ensure you don’t have cuticle pooling. Two coats of Harem were used below. I played around with the lighting in the last picture so you could see the pink undertones.
Harem is pretty. I need to compare it Jo’Mina, but I’m pretty sure that one is a much truer purple. Have you all noticed that Illamasqua polishes randomly went up in Sephora from $14 to $17. Ugh. That’s a pretty big price hike. I’m glad I was able to get these on sale, but I’m sure my next Illamasqua purchases will have to be super unique at the new price point.
How much is too much when it comes to polish in your opinion?
