Closing out the guest posts today is another one of my good polish friends, Jessica from Luv My Lacquer. She is amazing when it comes to nail art, stamping, and layering polishes! Jess has a great eye for unique combos and today is no different.
Hello Lacquer Luvers & dolls! My name is Jessica and some of you may remember me from the last time I had the pleasure of guest posting for Lakeisha. I’m honored that she asked me to do it again and am so excited to share this nail look with you all!
Keish wrote up a guest post for me that has inspired my look for today. I’m sure you all know how amazing she is when it comes to layering polishes and creating those to-die-for combinations. I decided to steer from nail art and try a layered look to see if I can come close to her beautiful creations.
My manicure began with a base coat of Essie Feed Me followed by two coats of Essie Bottle Service from their 2013 Neon Collection. Bottle Service is a pretty bright fuchsia jelly. Like most neon polishes, she dried to a waxy finish.
Next came the layering! I applied one coat of Salon Perfect’s Bang. Bang is part of Salon Perfect’s Neon Collision Collection and is jam packed with neon orangey-pink and yellow matte micro glitter in a clear base. The next layer was one coat of Different Dimension Social Suicide, a black & white matte glitter polish of various sized glitter in a clear base. My manicure was complete with one coat of HKGirl topcoat.
When I first looked through my collection of polishes I knew that I wanted to create a look that was eye-catching yet effortless. I think I achieved what I was going for and am super happy with the end result! You can easily achieve a one of a kind look just by layering polishes that are in your stash. What are your favorite layering combinations?
Thank you so much Lakeisha for having me as a guest on your wonderful blog! It’s always an honor and I’m glad to help whenever I can!
