Hey dolls! I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was a little hectic and stressful as my mom was hospitalized again on Friday, but we’re faithful that she’ll be released soon. Sitting in the hospital for a few days did give me time to schedule out a few posts for the week.
Hubby took these photos on Labor Day a few weeks ago. I recently found this super cute boutique, DressUp, that has several locations around Atlanta. They have super cute clothing, with trendy cuts, prints, and styles, all at affordable prices. I recently purchased this cropped top and skirt and couldn’t wait to wear them together. I’ve never been much on bearing my tummy when a beach or pool isn’t involved, but I’ve recently fallen for the modernized cropped top. Only a sliver of tummy is showing and I don’t feel uncomfortable, like I should keep pulling my shirt down. I love this coral top because it would pair well with high-waist pants, printed bottoms, or even boyfriend jeans. This top has an exposed zipper, which I completely forgot to tell hubby to take a picture of.
I really love the abstract print and the combination of colors on the skirt. The length makes it appropriate for either a day out or work if paired with a structured blazer. I’m always discussing my love for coral with turquoise, but I’ve never paired it with cobalt blue. The brightness of the blue works perfectly with the softness of the coral. I was already wearing Cirque NYFW on my nails and it matched the blue in the skirt perfectly. I’m pretty sure this is the first time I ever intentionally applied the same color on my nails and toes. I love Cirque NYFW just that much!
Notice anything different on my face? I recently received this pair of navy blue wide frames from Firmoo and I just love them. I will always prefer my glasses to contacts, so I love that Firmoo offers a lot of fun colors. I think of glasses as another pair of accessories. These are quite sturdy and aren’t too tight. There’s nothing worse than having to push your glasses up all day or them causing a headache. Neither of those things were an issue with this pair.
As the top is a simple solid, I wanted to compliment the triangles in the skirt by wearing the Adorned Girl Boutique Charlotte necklace (sold out). White and gold is a classic combo, so I can see this necklace getting a lot of use. To keep the triangle theme going, I also wore the Adorned Girl Boutique Double Arrow Geo ring. I’ve never been much for wearing rings (other than my wedding set), but I’m starting to get into them.
A few weeks ago, Macy’s had an amazing shoe sale that I couldn’t pass up. I was in there only to get a gift card and ended up with two pairs of shoes for myself. These Material Girl wedges caught my eye immediately. One of my besties has a similar pair from JustFab and I’ve been on the hunt ever since. They are super comfortable and on par with the cut out trend.
Finally, I have to mention this red lippie, which is also why I carried a clutch in a similar color. Pure Beauty, a brand with whom a lot of you may be familiar with their polishes, has recently started selling lipsticks. Pure Beauty Russian is a red, creme-based lipstick with a velveteen finish. All of the Pure lipsticks contain vitamin E, a touch of sweet with vanillin (a natural extract), and are paraben free, allergy tested, non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic, and fragrance free. I was really impressed with this lippie! It was moisturizing and did not dry my lips out over time. After initial application, the color held up for about three hours and stayed on well while eating and drinking. Pure Beauty lipsticks are available here for $10 each.
