Hey dolls! I was recently contacted by Brilliant Earth, a jewelry company that specializes in ethically sourced diamonds, to participate in their Create a Little Love Campaign. They have reached out to several bloggers to create looks that creatively use the word “love”. I decided to participate in this campaign by doing a little stamping. I started with a base of Cult Nails Fetish, a wax finish black creme. Next, I stamped on some roses using Cult Nails Lamestain (oxblood creme) and “love” in different fonts using Cult Nails Tempest (white creme). Finally, I added a coat of Cult Nails Wax That to give the entire mani a wax finish. Unfortunately Wax That did cause the other colors to drag a little bit.
I’m still not perfect when it comes to stamping, but I like the way this turned out. It has apparently been the year of Valentine’s manis for me. This is definitely the darkest of the bunch, but I still like it. Brilliant Earth will be putting together a collage of all of the looks and I’m excited to see the looks from the other bloggers.
I can’t talk about love without mentioning my husband. We have a little “love” corner in our place that features several wedding items including the broom we jumped, our sand ceremony vase, a wedding album, and a ceramic “love” I painted last year using our wedding colors. I can’t help but smile every time I walk past this shelf. So many great memories! I hope that you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day and you do something special for the ones you love or just for yourself; not just tomorrow, but as often as you can!
