Hey dolls! I finally got around to doing my post for the Busy Girl Nails Winter Nail Art Challenge this evening and I just love it. The theme for week 2 was “white”. I looked through my melmer to find my only untried white, Cult Nails Tempest. Tempest is an extremely pigmented white creme with a good formula. You could probably get away with one thick coat, but I did two for photography purposes. I hadn’t used my Cult Nails Wax That top coat, so I decided to make this an entire wax finish mani. After Tempest dried, I applied one coat of Wax That. The formula is thick, but in a good way. The finish changed within seconds and was completely dry to the touch in about 15 minutes.
To jazz this look up, I added various sized dots of Cult Nails Fetish (black wax finish) and Cult Nails Morning Glory (magenta wax finish). Morning Glory is also used on one of the accent nails. To tie it all together, I applied pink and black speckled square studs from Serum No. 5 that I was sent for review. I was so surprised to learn that she was selling nail art accessories, but I just love the wide variety that she stocks. The studs were super easy to apply and I just used a little base coat and a dotting tool to put them on.
I just love the way this turned out! Simple but chic and just my style. And how cute are these Serum No. 5 studs?!? You all know how much I love a good stud. Her website is currently down for a restock, so I’m unsure of the price, but I’ll update this post when I find out. (**Edited to add: They are $3 for approximately 100-120 studs and they come in white, blue, green, pink, red and yellow.) I couldn’t resist putting a fashion inspired polka dot look together as well. They just make me happy. If you’re in the market for a wax top coat, I definitely recommend Cult Nails Wax That. Hope you all like my white look! Have any of you decided to join this challenge?
