Hey dolls! Today I have pictures for you of my second breast cancer awareness mani. I participated in the Charlotte Susan G. Komen 5K this past weekend with my mother and our family and friends. We had a great time walking for the cure! I’d like for you all to use this post as your reminder to perform your monthly self-exam. Here is a list of symptoms you should be aware of as you complete your exams. It’s important to know your own body!
I posted several pictures on Instagram, but here’s a peek in case you aren’t on there.
I did my mom’s nails using Zoya Lara, Orly Au Champagne, Essie A Cut Above, and ribbons were stamped on with Color Club Hot Like Lava. My nails were done using Indigo Bananas Twice As Bright, a gorgeous bright pink jelly filled with duochrome glass flecks that flashed blue and purple. The formula was very easy to use and was opaque in three coats. I cannot get enough of these polishes! The accent nails were Orly Au Champagne, Essie A Cut Above, and the ribbon was done using Twice As Bright. Here’s a close up of my nails from the walk (this was three days later and I didn’t notice that little corner break until I was editing photos).
I got so many compliments on this look! The shimmer in Au Champagne compliments Twice As Bright very nicely. Of course I had to show you Twice As Bright all on its own as well.
I’m pretty sure Indigo Bananas is climbing up the list as one of my favorite indies. All of the ones I’ve tried so far have great formulas and they are absolutely stunning. Only three more left to show you! Indigo Bananas shades can be purchased here. They’ve shown swatches of Hope, a polish released to raise funds for breast cancer awareness, on Facebook, so be sure to like their page.
